We have shoppers – when you are out getting your own family’s shopping, or getting an online delivery order, you add ‘one more’ of something that has appeared on that day’s shopping list.
We refund you asap – via PayPal, if possible, or cash if you prefer.
You could make deliveries around the village – of shopping or prescriptions, or our Nice Surprises! We are now delivering the Co-op phone orders, shopping requests & prescriptions as required.
Everyone can be an active supporter – here’s some of the ways ….
Our volunteers are on a mailing list by which we broadcast requests for help – it might be something from your shed, or something you no longer need. We can arrange safe collection and delivery, with no added risk to you
If you have an online shopping delivery slot, you could also technically be a ‘shopper’
If you bake, you can make Nice Surprises for us from the comfort of your own kitchen
If you have surplus food, we can distribute it to Woodford Halse Community Larder to reach those who would appreciate it. Drop it with a Good Neighbour, or contact us for a collection. Byfielders are encouraged to join the Community Larder as well, to help with food costs, or just to reduce food waste locally
Good at cooking up a storm? Join the Whatsapp Group to hear what overflow food we’ve been given and suggestions for creating goodies for your neighbours. Get in touch to be added.
You can do other nice things for people such as drop a birthday card round, put out their bins, get something down from the loft – the list goes on – get in touch to join our volunteer roster and make sure to let us know what you can do and when you can help – Remember – you can always say No on each occasion if it is not convenient – many hands make light work !!
